Craig Edgington has grown up in the funeral business. He started helping his father, the late Don Edgington, in the 1970's. A graduate of Hillsboro High School, he also graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Craig is very active in the community having been involved with the Hillsboro Rotary Club, the Wilmington Kiwanis Club, the Highland District Hospital Foundation Board, and the Highland County Health Department Board to name just a few. He and his wife, Sonya, care for our area families with the most compassionate care. During your most difficult times, he is present to help guide and comfort you. He truly is the one that you turn to for answers. Craig and Sonya enjoy spending time with their son, Jonathan, doing the various activities that our area has to offer. Craig looks forward to serving you and your family.
Doris Edgington has been involved with the Edgington Funeral Homes since the very beginning. She is the widow of the late Don Edgington, who started the chain of Edgington Funeral Homes in the 1960's and the mother of the current owner, Craig Edgington. Doris has been very active in the Highland County Area her whole life, having grown up in the Fairfax area. Since her retirement from the Highland County Commissioner's Office, she enjoys helping at the funeral home and participating in the various Highland County activities that happen throughout the year. She looks forward to seeing you the next time you are in our funeral home.
A Whiteoak High School Graduate Class of 2011 in Mowrystown. Mrs. Chandler joined our family service team in 2010, while in high school. Brittany continued her education at Southern State Community College and then went on to pursue her Bachelor's degree at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where she graduated cum laude in 2013. She's been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2015. She enjoys helping people and serving in her community. She is very active in different organizations: being a committee member of the Whiteoak Alumni Association, one of the At Large Directors for the Ohio Funeral Directors Assoication, committee member on the Young Funeral Directors with the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, and atteneds the Living Springs Community Church in Mowrystown. Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She loves being on her farm, kayaking, and traveling. Brittany looks forward to creating for you and your family a most unique Legacy of Life Tribute for your cherished loved one.
Brian R. James, CFSP joined the Edgington Funeral Homes in 2005. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and Xavier University, he has been in the funeral business since the early 1980's. Brian's passion is leading a family through those most difficult days following the passing of a cherished loved one. After careful consultation with the family, he finds deep satisfaction in providing a unique Legacy of Life Service that each and every family deserves. Active in his local church, Brian enjoys doing adventures with his son, Roby and spending quality time with his faithful canine companion, Bella. Brian looks forward to providing you and your family with an unparalleled Legacy of Life Service of remembrance.
Richard "Dick" Donley started assisting the funeral home in 2006. He retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol after 30 years of service. Dick is a member of the Highland County Republican Party and the Fairview Church of Christ. He has been involved in many community organizations over the years. He loves spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Dick enjoys golfing and bowling. He takes pride in serving families with the upmost compassion.
Chuck is very involved in the community. He is a United States Army Vietnam Veteran. Chuck is the commander of the Mowrystown American Legion Roy W. Wilson Post 0694, member of the Mowrystown Lions Club, S.A.T.H Board, involved with KAMP Dovetail. He also attends the Sugartree Ridge Church of Christ.
Keith Earley and his wife, Cynthia, live on the family farm in Greene and Fayette counties, where they farm approximately 300 acres. They are members of Faith Lutheran Church in Wilmington and spend lots of time in retirement going to their five grandchildren's events. Keith is retired from an education career, with 31 years of service as an elementary teacher and principal. After his education career, Keith earned an LPN license and worked in long term care in Fayette and Clinton counties for 6 years. He still volunteers with the Medical Reserve Corps of Greene County when necessary. Keithe assists at the funeral homes in providing comfort and service to area families in their time of need.
Chuck started working for Edgington Funeral Homes in 2022. He retired from Columbus Hospitality (Roberts Centre, Holiday Inn, and Max Erma's) as head of maintenance in November 2014. Chuck and his wife, Nancy, enjoy spending time with their grandchildren. They enjoy attending their dance recitals and soccer games. Chuck is a Lionel train collector and loves playing with his trains. His family is very important to him. Chuck is compassionate about serving families in their time of sorrow.
Barb joined our staff in 2014. She likes meeting new people and seeing old friends. She is a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ. Barb enjoys baking goodies for her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has a special place in her heart for her rescue dog, Henry, who is a constant companion to her. Barb looks forward to greeting you at our funeral homes.
