Zora Heard

Zora M. Heard,
age 89, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away early Sunday morning, May 24, 2015 at home surrounded by her family..

She was born July 28, 1925 in Buchanan, Georgia daughter of the late Walter & Lois (North) Longino.  She married Willie Heard, who passed away in 1994.

Zora retired as a Dry Cleaner for Weathervane Dry Cleaners, Wilmington after a lengthy career helping the citizens of Wilmington have clean, crisp clothes.
She was a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church, Wilmington, where she had been a member for over 50 years and had served as the head usher.

Surviving are her 2 sons- Robert Heard of Lebanon, OH, & James (Rita) Heard of Cuba, OH; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; brother- Walter (Lynda) Longino of GA & sister- Easter Moore of Anniston, AL.

In addition to her parents and husband,  Zora was preceded in death by her son- Willie Richard Heard, & daughter- Peggy Ann Scott.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 27, at the Bible Missionary Baptist Church, 243 Grant St, Wilmington with Rev. Timothy Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio.
