William West

William V. "Pete" West, age 96, of Lynchburg, Ohio, passed away January 25, 2015 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio.

He was born December 5, 1918 in Lynchburg, OH, son of  the late Clarence Earl West and Virginia Emma (Noble) West .

Pete was a member of Highland Lodge # 38 F & AM, York Rite, Hillsboro Chapter #40, Highland Commandry #31, Hillsboro Council #16, and  member of Hillsboro Church of Christ, where he had served as an elder for several years. A US Army Veteran of World War II. He retired from Columbus & Southern Electric Company after several years of service.

Surviving family members are 4 daughters, Linda (John) Brown of Marion, OH, Carolyn (Jim) Byrd of Hamilton, OH, Patty (Ken) Kessler of Troy, OH,  Kathy Holbrook of Lynchburg, OH, 8 grandchildren, John William Brown, Susan Beckman, Lori Amick, Kelli Kazmaier, Jennifer Fields, Carrie Weir, Jon Holbrook, Megan Brault and their spouses, 18 great-grandchildren, brother, Clarence West of TN, sister, Evelyn Davidson of Franklin, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by wife, Mildred K. "Millie" West, 3 brothers, Charles "Lou" West, Frank West, Raymond West, 2 sisters, Elizabeth  West,  Mary Helen Hawk, and son-in-law, Jeff Holbrook.

Funeral Services will be held at Hillsboro Church of Christ, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Andrew Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, Ohio, where the Highland County Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors.

Friends will be received at Hillsboro Church of Christ,  Friday, January 30, 2015,  4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
