William Richard Walters

  William Richard Walters, age 79, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2023 at Legacy Nursing Home of Hillsboro.  
 
 He was born August 22, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Edward J. and Anna (Krutzjans) Walters.
 
William was a veteran of the Army National Guard for 6 years. He loved to fish and watch sports, especially the University of Dayton. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
 
 Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Monica and James Clark, thee grandchildren, Amanda Reese, Maddy Clark, and Noah Clark, three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Jackson, and Liam, four siblings, Kenny, Jerry, Joe, and Mary, and many nieces and nephews.
 
 In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Walters.
 
 William's wishes were to be cremated an no services to be held.
 
 Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro is serving the family.
