Wilfred Gruelle

Wilfred "Willie" Gruelle, age 85, of New Market, Ohio, passed away May 27, 2014 at home.
He was born September 15, 1928 in Berry, KY, son of the late John Ferd and Ollie Wagnor Gruelle .
Surviving are wife, Beryl Gruelle of New Market, OH, three sons, D. Timothy (Alessandra) Gruelle of Pittsburgh, PA, J. Kent (Barbara) Gruelle of Melbourne, FL, J. Kevin (Carol) Gruelle of Poland, OH, four grandsons, three great-granddaughters.
In addition to his parents Willie was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, being the youngest of nine children.
Willie was a graduate of New Haven High School, Union, KY where he played basketball and baseball. He was a member of the Boone-Union Masonic Lodge No. 304 F & AM for 59 years and a member of the Union Church of Christ. Willie worked and managed Producers Stockyards in Cincinnati, OH, Bath, IN, and Hillsboro, OH for 35 years. After retirement from Producers, he worked for HC Nutting Co., an engineering and testing company for 20 years.
It would takes pages to name his many friends in the three states which Willie lived and worked. He also coached little league as his wife and family always came first. Willie loved to read and was an avid "old car" lover. He also enjoyed the peacefulness of fishing, and discussing history and farming.
Services will be held at Union Church of Christ, Friday, May 30, 2014 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Andrew Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Taylorsville, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Union Church of Christ, Friday, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Union Church of Christ Ladies Aide. The Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home is serving the family.
