Wayne A. Scott

Wayne A. "Bucky" Scott,
age 67, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away  Monday morning, February 10, 2014 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.

He was born May 14, 1946 in Wilmington, son of the late Chacy  & Elva (Ward) Scott Sr.
A 1965 graduate of Wilmington HS, Bucky worked as a Foreman/Supervisor for Irwin Auger Bit Co for over 35 years retiring in 2005.

A Vietnam War Era veteran of the US Army,  he was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church,  Wilmington.  He served on the Clinton County Veteran's Service Commission as a board member and was appointed to multiple positions as a proud member of the VFW Post 6710.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post #49.

Surviving are his wife- Gustelia Harden Scott of Wilmington, OH; children- Shawn (Chantelle) Logan of CA, Toyia Scott of Wilmington, OH, Dimetrius Scott-Harris of Wilmington, OH; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren;  brothers & sisters- Johnny Scott of Wilmington, OH,  Chacy Scott Jr. of Wilmington, OH, Imogene (James) Smith of Jefersonville, OH, Maxine (Harry) Gilham of Newark, OH,  Gary Scott of Wilmington, OH, Thomas (Sandra) Scott of Columbus, OH; & several nieces & nephews and special friends- Mary Campbell, Lawrence Curtis & Stephen Harris.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his son- Wayne Allen Scott Jr.; brother- Farrel Scott; & sister- Judith Ann Warner.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 225 Randolph St, Wilmington, with Rev. Byron W McGee officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.  The Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will accord full military honors. Friends will be received from 6-8 Friday, Feb. 14, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
