Walton L. Solien,
age 89, of Wilmington, Ohio, formerly a long time resident of Williamsburg, Ohio, passed away as a result of a car accident in Englewood, Ohio on Thursday afternoon, March 10, 2016.
He was born February 23, 1927 in Syre, Minnesota, son of the late Otto & Mabel Helena (Ellefson) Solien. In 1955, he married Janet L. (Hunter) Solien, who passed away June 18, 2014.
Walt retired as an engineer for General Electric Cincinnati-Evendale Plant after many years of service. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, and the Williamsburg UMC.
Surviving are his son, Lowell (Birgit) Solien- Lansing, Kansas; grandson- Eric Solien, Fort Sill, OK; brother- Robert Solien, Cocoa, FL; sister-in-law-Doris Eileen Michaelis, Monroe, OH; brother-in-law- Gene Krenelka, Fargo, ND and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Walt was preceded in death by 3 siblings- Vernon Solien, Lorraine Krenelka, & Yvonne Solien.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 421 East Vine Street at Prairie Avenue, Wilmington with Pastor June Fryman officiating. Interment at the family's convenience will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, Ohio. The Family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 at the church.
