Virginia Mae (Flint) Kerr,
age 84, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away late Tuesday night, April 9, 2013 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.
She was born July 20, 1928 in Melvin, OH, daughter of the late Carlos Verdean & Mary Louise (Rolison) Flint. On Feb. 21, 1946 in Wilmington, Ohio, she married Marvin E. Kerr, who survives.
Mrs. Kerr retired from the Irwin Auger Bit Company, and had also worked at First National Bank, and the Elks Lodge #797. She was an active bowler at the Wilmington Lanes and a member of the First Baptist Church, Wilmington.
In addition to her husband, other surviving family members are her daughter- Peggy Ann Bennett of Wilmington; grandson- R. Scott (Kathy) Bennett, Wilmington; granddaughter- Nicole Diane (John) Burton, Wilmington; 2 great-granddaughters- Brianna Burton & Sydney Bennett; 2 sisters- Betty Young and Rita Ann Burgel, both of Wilmington; and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her sister- Mary Alice Townsend; 4 brothers-in-law- Everett, Earl, Kenny, & Karl Kerr; and 2 sisters-in-law- Mary Brewer & Berneda Hodson.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Sugar Grove Cemetery, 292 West Truesdell Street, Wilmington with Rev. Dan Mayo officiating.
