Virgil L. Kelch, age 95, of Sardinia, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Madeira Health Care Center in Madeira, OH.
He was born December 14, 1919 in Brown County, OH, son of the late Frederick Kelch and Flossie Malblanc Kelch.
He was a member of Church of Christ; Sardinia Masonic Lodge #254 F&AM Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati; Highland County Eastern Star. After retiring from Cincinnati Milicron after 29 years of service, Virgil then worked at various jobs and retired permanently at age 90 from Dunbury Theater.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madge Dunn Kelch, the mother of his children who survive; daughter, Judith Kelch of Amelia, OH, son, Ken (Beverly) Kelch of Sardinia, OH, and son, Rolland (Shirley) Kelch of Batavia. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Philip (Michelle), Richard (Chellie), Michael (Teresa), Jeff, Doug, Renada, and Lesley, 8 great grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Nicholas, Alexander, Daniel, Ryan, Andrea, and Matthew; also surviving is a great great grandson, Gage.
In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by a great great grandson, Hunter; his second wife, Libby Thiel Kelch, whose children and grandchildren are also surviving.
Services will be held at the Sardinia Church of Christ, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 with Pastor Kevin Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Buford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church on Saturday, June 27 , 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
