Violet L. Hewitt Plymire,
Age 81, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 14, 2011 at her residence in Wilmington, Ohio.
She was born January 18, 1930 in Reading, OH, daughter of the late William S. & Alma E. (Mason) Hewitt. She was preceded in death also by her husband, Dr. Frank G. Plymire in 1969.
She was a member of Wilmington Bible Baptist Church and retired from Quality Quaker Management at the Friendly Center.
Surviving are her daughter- Vicki Johnson (Frank) Hardy of Wildwood, MO; son- Philip B. Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; Step-Children- Fayanne (Bruce) Saunders of Wilmington, OH, & James Plymire, Hillsboro. Also, a sister- Pauline (Mark) Buckley of Wilmington, OH; 2 brothers- Lloyd Hewitt of Lynchburg, OH, & Ray (Carolyn) Hewitt of Newport Beach, CA; 2 grandsons- Kyle (Virginia) Hardy of Manchester, MO, & Ross (Colleen) Hardy of Wildwood, MO; Five great-grandchildren- Samuel, Claire, Mary, & Kate Hardy of Manchester, MO, & Jack Hardy of Wildwood, MO; in addition to nieces, nephews, cousins, & dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was preceded in death by a brother- Vernon Hewitt and two special uncles- Quentin Mason and Elgar Mason.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, with Pastor Kelly McInerney officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of services at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH Saturday, December 17, 2011.
