Viola Daugherty

Viola Mills Daugherty, age 97, of the Mowrystown community, went to her heavenly home Thursday morning, August 18, 2022 at Forest Hills Care Center in Cincinnati.

She was born November 29, 1924 in Brown County, Ohio, daughter of the late James and Violet Vera Woodruff Mills.

Viola was a member of Mowrystown Church of Christ and a class of 1943 graduate of Whiteoak High School.

Surviving are her five children, Rick (Wanda) Daugherty, Jerry (Jenny) Daugherty, Kendra (Tom Jacobson) Daugherty, Randy (Gwene) Daugherty, and Breva (Jack) Tibbs, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Brooks Daugherty, who passed away on October 6, 2009 and a sister, Berneda Mills.

Funeral Services will be held at Mowrystown Church of Christ, 28 W. Main St. Mowrystown, Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Chris Gobin officiating.  Interment will follow in the Confidence Cemetery, Georgetown, Ohio.

Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the services.
