Vernon G. Perry Sr., age 87, of Bainbridge, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, May 2, 2016 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born April 2, 1929 in Portsmouth, OH, son of the late Lawrence Carr and Barbara Ellen Saddler Perry.
Vernon was a member of Carmel Church of Christ and had been a self-employed welder and had worked at Ohio Steel Construction.
Surviving are wife, Verna Jean Perry of Bainbridge, OH, two daughters, Anna (James) Priest of Bainbridge, OH, and Doris Johnson of Hillsboro, OH, two sons, James (Judy) Perry of Holbrook, AZ, and Vernon Perry Jr., of Bainbridge, OH, four grandchildren, Johnny (Janet) Priest of Winchester, OH, Leslie Priest of Wilmington, OH, Jamie (Tim) White of Hillsboro, OH, and Krystal (Marc) Anderson of Holbrook, AZ, four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Michael, & Adrien, and two great-great-grandchildren, Ava and Layne.
In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by thirteen brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 4:00 PM with.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
