Thomas Custis

Thomas Kent Custis, age 79, of Martinsville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH.

He was born February 10, 1942 in Clinton County, OH, son of the late Lawrence Custis  and Maxine Wilson Custis.

Tom was a member of Martinsville Church of Christ and was a graduate of Martinsville High School class of 1960 where he was a standout basketball player. Following high school Tom played independent ball for many years. Tom was a well known barber in Clinton county for 60 years. Always one who enjoyed sporting events, Tom rarely missed one of his grandchildren's games.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Sharon Birmingham Custis, son and daughter-in-law, Chris (Jennifer Tuke) Custis, three grandchildren, Christopher Custis, Jr., Elizabeth Custis and Jonathan Custis. Also surviving is brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Bennie & Christine (Birmingham) Branham, brother-in-law, David Appleman, four nieces, Danica (Tony) Sharrock, Heidi (Greg) Phipps, Holly (Luis) Rodriguez and Nicole (Rob) Hull.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Vicki (Birmingham) Appleman, sister & brother-in-law, Sharon & Jose Gallardo and two nephews, Robert James Collier and Brett  Ferguson.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington..

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Saturday, January 15, 2022, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
