Thomas Jay Brooks,
age 66, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, November 30, 2021 at home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born October 8, 1955 in Owosso, Michigan, son of the late Charles Edward & Doris Irene (Bigelow) Brooks.
A veteran of the US Army, Tom was a member of Xenia Church of the Nazarene. He had taught at the Greene County Career Center for 9 years and then was a self-employed truck driver for over 12 years.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years- Marcia Brooks; sons- Jimmy Brooks, of Centerville, Ohio, & Matthew (Maria) Haynes of Spring Valley, Ohio; daughters- Hollie Schneider, of Dayton, Ohio, Missi (Shannon) Pollock of Xenia, OH, Wendy Haynes of Lebanon, OH; a bunch of grandchildren; siblings- Peggy Hutchinson of Roscommon, MI, Kenneth Brooks of Atlanta, GA, Douglas Brooks of AZ, Cathy Delaney of MI, Linda Deering of MI, Robin Vanwieren of Grand Rapids, MI, Janet Niswonger of St. Helen, MI, and Bill Brooks, of Michigan; & lots of nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Xenia Nazarene Church, 1204 West Second Street, Xenia, Ohio with Pastor Mark Atherton officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of services at the church on Friday. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio has been entrusted with the arrangements.
