Stephen Alan "Stevo" Canter, age 72, of Winchester, Ohio, formerly of Middletown, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 12, 2019 at The Laurels in Hillsboro, Ohio from complications of Leukemia .
He was born October 4, 1947 in Middletown, Ohio, son of the late Joseph Grafton Canter and Harriett Nellie (nee: Hinkle) Canter.
Stevo graduated from Madison High School in 1965, attended Purdue University and is an alumni of Miami University graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering. He worked at Amco at Washington Court House and finished his career at Weastec in Hillsboro.
Stevo loved and valued all of his family, living in his country community, and joining good friends at "The Y" for coffee and meals. His soft spoken quiet demeanor, and sharp wit will be so very much missed by his family and friends (Bondo), and not leave out, John Doe, his loyal family cat.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Teresa Canter; daughters, Anne (Jonathan Bruckner) and Amy (Tom Gordin), step-daughter, Elana (Steve Lamb), step-son, Ryan Bailey, seven grandchildren,, sister, Margaret (Pete) Morrison of SC, and a brother, Bryan (Suzanne) Canter of Middletown.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date as Steve requested.
Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, Ohio is serving the family.
