Stephen Brannon

July 19, 1952 — February 13, 2014

Stephen A. "Steve" "Doober" Brannon, age 61, of Wilmington, OH, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 13, 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Ann Scott Brannon of Wilmington. They were married Nov. 22, 2013.

Steve was born July 19, 1952 in Wilmington, OH, son of the late John Arnold Brannon  and Dana Lucille (Huff) Brannon Huston.

He attended Wilmington High School. He made his career in the construction business with the last several years being a self employed carpenter.

He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, morel mushrooms and spending time with family. He was also a big fan of John Wayne movies, Westerns, Civil War history, and Military History.

He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand with whatever project needed to be done.

He took great pride in being a registered organ donor.

In addition to his Wife, he is survived by Daughter, Brandy (Josh) Havens of Winchester, Son, Justin (Kelly) Brannon of Mt. Orab, Son, Sean Brannon of Mt. Orab, granddaughter, Megan Brannon, Brother, Larry (Nancy) Brannon of Sabina, Brother, John (Roberta) Brannon of Reeseville, Sister, Stella Brannon of Wilmington, Sister, Peggy (Vince) Haynes of Port William, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, John W. and Christine  Scott III of Bainbridge, brother-in-law, John W. (Ashley) Scott IV, beloved toy poodle, Saxie Belle, nieces & nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Brannon, a sister, Sharon DeBord, and beloved toy poodle, Harmony.

Services will be held at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Monday, February 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Stephenson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.

Friends will be received at the church of Monday, 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
