Shirley Katter

Shirley Gayle Katter,
Age 87, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away early Monday morning, September 12, 2022 at the Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, Ohio.
She was born July 16, 1935 in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late Rufus Eugene & Goldie May (Cosby) Suggs.
She was a member of the Conversation Club, University Club, English Club, Garden Club, Retired Clinton County Teachers Ass'n, Clinton Memorial Hospital Volunteer, Nursery School Teacher, Clinton County Branch of the American Red Cross, where she was awarded the Outstanding Member Medal, was involved in the beginning of the Clinton County Head Start Program and had been a kindergarten teacher for Wilmington City Schools for 33 years.
Surviving are her daughters- Karen Katter Patterson of Harrison, OH, and  Allison Katter of Wilmington. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband- William Edward Katter and her sister- Elizabeth Emody.
A gathering of Shirley's friends and family will take place from 3-5 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington.  Her graveside burial service will be 11:30 AM, Thursday, September 22 at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio  45231, with Mr. Orlando E. Katter Jr officiating.  Once entering the cemetery, please proceed to the Family Gathering Area for the procession to the grave.
