Ronald L. Dean,
Age 85, of Clarksville, Ohio, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 4, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born November 26, 1937 in Lynchburg, Ohio son of the late Albert Sylvester & Myra Clement Wallace Dean. On October 17, 1959 in Circleville, Ohio, he married Betty Jean Huffman Dean, who survives.
A 1955 Washington Courthouse High School Graduate, Ron was a US Marine Korean War Veteran. He was a farmer and had retired from the Hartley Oil Company after over 20 years of service.
He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Wilmington, OH, and the Fayette County Pork Association and had been a 4-H leader.
In addition to his wife, surviving are his 4 children- Teresa Gregg, Clarksville, Rhonda Noble, Clarksville, Bruce (Jeana) Dean, Hillsboro, & Brenda (Larry) Dean-Hall, Port William; grandchildren- Chrissy, Torie, Cassie, Taylor, Devon, Jaiden, Jessica, Kaleigh, Brock, Zachary, Tori, Amanda, Casey, Jake, & Ellie; 30 great-grandchildren; former AFS Student- Carlos E. Rojas, Costa Rica; and brother-in-law- Larry Johnson, Washington Court House.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 5 sisters.
Military Funeral Honors will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 9, 2023 by the US Marine Corps Honor Guard at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, followed by Prayers at the funeral home led by Deacon Bob Baker
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, January 9 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, with Rev. Bernard J. Weldishofer officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ohio at the family's convenience at a later date.
