Robert "Bob" Thompson, age 76, of Highland, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Laurels of Hillsboro in Hillsboro, OH.
He was born March 6, 1936 in Adams County, OH, son of the late Arthur Thompson and Flora Helterbran Thompson
Surviving is his daughter, Rhonda (J.C.) Johnson of Piketon, OH, two grandchildren, Mandy & Matthew, two sisters, Marlene (Rickey) Foster of Locust Grove, Stella Mae (Earnald) Ward of Locust Grove, two brothers, Forest (Mary) Thompson of New Market, Kenneth Thompson of TX, his first wife, Beverly Duke and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Louise Thompson, five brothers, Ralph, Paul, Elzza, Floyd Orva, and Johnnie Thompson, and also three sisters, Dorothy Burchett, Kathleen Brychta, and Pauline O'Bryant.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Daniel Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday 12:00 - 3:00 pm. .
