Robert E. Meyer

 Deacon Robert E. Meyer, age 91, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Ohio Living Cape May in Wilmington, OH. 

 He was born February 22, 1933 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Earl J. Meyer and Bertha Streaker Meyer.

 Bob was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church who greatly valued church and community work. Having been ordained on June 25, 1983 as a Catholic Deacon, he also served as a volunteer and chaplain at Clinton Memorial Hospital for many years. A U.S. Navy veteran, he retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. He was a loving and supportive father to his family.

 Surviving are his loving wife, Barbara A. Meyer, whom he married October 17, 1964, two daughters, Michele (Victor) LoBiondo, Christina (James) Kilgore, and 2 grandsons, Christian and Cameron.

 In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Richard Meyer.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at St. Columbkille Catholic Church on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Tom Mannebach as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, where the Wilmington American Legion Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.

 Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, located at 97 West Locust Street Wilmington, on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Prayers will be held at 6:30
