Richard Lee Leasher,
age 53, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed suddenly, Thursday morning, June 4, 2015 at home.
He was born July 8, 1961 in Wilmington, son of the late Donald Willis Leasher & Clara Viola (Miller) Leasher Brown. His wife of 35 years, Debbie Smalley Leasher, survives, with whom he married on December 22, 1979 in Westboro, Ohio.
Richard had worked as a Security Guard for Randall Textron Corp and various other handyman jobs. He was a member of the American Heart Association of Dayton, the NRA, and loved to hunt, fish , and work in his garage before he became disabled.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his 2 sons- Rick Leasher and Shaun (Marissa) Leasher, both of New Vienna, OH; daughter- Tammy Leasher,Wilmington; 2 grandchildren- Chanse & Nova Leasher; 3 brothers- Harold (Sharon) Leasher, Midland, OH, Donald (Lana) Leasher, Douglasville, GA, & William (Cynthia) Shaw, Wilmington; 2 sisters- Diana Earley, New Vienna, & Dolores Howland, Hillsboro; 3 step-brothers- R.C. (Goldie) Matthews, Blanchester, OH, Dwayne Matthews, of Dallas, TX, & Charlie Matthews, of Dallas, TX; a step- sister- Dallas Leasher, of Dallas, TX; many nieces, nephews, & cousins; and special friends- Wayne cochran, David Earley, Don, Cheryl, & Donnie Wical.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother- Terry Leasher.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Rev. Bryson Thompson & Pastor Bobby Rhinehimer officiating.
Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of services at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
