Rex G. Duggins

November 18, 1931 — May 14, 2013

Rex (Zeke) Gilbert Duggins, age 81, went to be home with the Lord on May 14 at 7:15 am, at University Hospital, in Cincinnati, Ohio.


He was born on November 18, 1931 in Wilmington, Ohio to James (Rex) Francis and Lucille Hampton Duggins.  On August 22, 1953, he married Georgianna Teboe.  They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this August.   Rex lived in Wilmington, Ohio and retired from The Irwin-Augerbit Company (American Tool) in 1989.


Rex will be remembered for his humbleness and strength to persevere.  He loved to work in his wood shop and take short road trips to sightsee around the state.  He loved Chevrolet Trucks, deer and squirrels.


He is survived by his devoted wife, Georgianna.  Two loving children Connie (Danny) Adams of Wilmington and Randy (JoAndrea) Duggins of Midland.  Three precious grandchildren Conessa (Creighton) Kirkendall of Maineville, Randy Duggins II and Seth Duggins, both of Miamisburg.  Three step grandchildren Nikki Oaks, Kristyn (Joe) Casteel, and Ron (Stephanie) Jennett and their children.  Two great-grandchildren that he loved dearly, Abby and Noah Kirkendall. Rex was preceded in death by his parents James (Rex) and Lucille Duggins.


Services will be held on Friday, May 17 at 11:00 am at Fisher-Edington Funeral Home 97 W Locust Street Wilmington, Ohio. Friends and family may call on Thursday, May 16 from 5-8 pm.  Burial will take place following the service on Friday at Clinton County Memory Gardens, located 1628 Center Rd Wilmington.


Anyone wanting to join the family for lunch following burial on Friday, is welcome to join.  Lunch will be served at Wilmington Assembly of God, 609 W Locust St Wilmington.


The family would like to thank the UC Barrett Center and Dr Morris for their care of Rex over the last 2 months.  Also, we would like to thank the University Hospital Doctors, Nurses and staff for taking such great care of him during the last week of his life.
