Wilmington — Regina Louise Moore, 82, of Wilmington, OH, passed away on December 21, 2023, in Cincinnati. She was born on November 13, 1941, in Cincinnati, OH, to Raymond and Elsie Simonson. Regina was a loving mother, mother inlaw, grandmother, great-grandmother, Aunt, sister-in-law. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Regina was known for her generous and kind nature. She had a great sense of humor and was always hardworking and determined. She had a faithful spirit and enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, canning and watching the Bengals, Thrifting and Soap Operas. Regina is survived by her children: Cynthia Louise (Daniel) Bowman of Wilmington, OH, Thomas Edward (Sheila) Moore of Chillicothe, OH, Tony (Mindy) Moore of Oregonia, OH Kelli Ann (Jan) Christensen of Blanchester, OH. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matthew (Jacqueline Holmes) Bowman, Megan (Brian) Canavan, Tara (Matthew) Banning, Kayla (Jared) Sparks, Alani Moore, Timothy Moore, Zach Christensen, Holly Christensen, Kai Christensen, Lauren Moore, Morgan Moore, and Ava Moore. Her great-grandchildren include Dawson Bowman, Oakley Holmes, Cora Banning, Kate Banning, Owen Banning, Margaret Canavan, Abigail Canavan, Eli Sparks, Sawyer Sparks, and Ezra Sparks. Regina is also survived by her brothers: Raymond Simonson (Sheila dec’d), David Simonson, John (Barbara) Simonson, and sister Mary (Paul dec’d) Maynard. She also leaves behind her sister-in-laws Hazel Simonson, Uyvonna Simonson and several nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law Nancy Moore and special friends Beverly & Donald Hockett. Regina was preceded in death by her husband William E. Moore, Jr. son Timothy W. Moore, parents Raymond and Elsie Simonson, brothers Lawrence Simonson, Joseph (Thelma) Simonson, Dennis (Nellie) Simonson, Christopher Simonson, Michael Simonson, Edward Simonson, and sister Ruth Ann Huntley and a sister-in-law Joann Conley.  Regina attended Clarksville High School and went on to have a successful career at Frisch’s, NCR, and as a Wilmington City Bus Driver for 35 years. She was a dedicated member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church and actively participated in the Sodality. Regina also had a passion for helping families in need and was a foster parent to Dean Johnson and Annabelle Simonson. Her special friend Frank Randolph of Wilmington, OH. Her last fur baby Libby. Services for Regina will be held at St. Columbkille Church, on December 28 at 11:00 am located at 73 N. Mulberry St., Wilmington, OH 45177. Visitation at the funeral home will be December 27 from 4-6. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sacred Heart Sodality or Wilmington Auxiliary FOE 1224. The Fisher Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. , Wilmington, OH 45177 is assisting the family with the arrangements. Regina Louise Moore will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and her commitment to helping others. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
