Randy L Adkins

  Randy Lee Adkins, 
Age 67, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away after a lengthy illness early Thursday morning, November 3, 2023 at home. 
  He was born August 4, 1956 in Jamestown, Ohio.  On April 15, 1978 in Wilmington, he married Cynthia Ann Perry Adkins, who survives.
A 1973 Wilmington High School Graduate and a US Army Veteran, he retired from Airborne after over 30 years of service.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his 2 daughters- Andrya (Randall Taylor) Adkins of Lebanon, OH and Angela Adkins, of Wilmington; 6 grandchildren- Kiera, Ali, Randall JR, Kailyn, Kelly & Ava; a great-granddaughter- Amara; and his brother- Roger (Marsha) Adkins, Blanchester.
 
 Randy was preceded in death by his father- Emmitt Adkins; his mother and step-dad- Roberta Ilene & Howard (Dunn) Dyke; and sister- Diane Anderson.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington.   Friends will be received from 12 Noon until the time of services at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, on Thursday, November 9.  

Graveside Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428.  Please do not arrive before 1:45 PM.  Go in the Main Gate and follow the funeral signs for Shelter B Funeral Procession Staging Area.  We will go in Formal Procession to the Outdoor Committal Shelter B promptly at 2:00 PM.  The Active Duty US Army Honor Squad and the Dayton National Cemetery Honor Squad will accord full military honors upon their fellow veteran.
