Paul Wesley Lees,
Age 88, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loved ones early Monday morning, April 26, 2021 at home.
He was born April 9, 1933 in Newark, Ohio, son of the late Robert Ogle & Pauline Katherine (Claesges) Lees. On September 29, 1956 in Coshocton, Ohio, he married Jane Ann Weaver Lees, who survives.
Paul retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass in Newark, Ohio as a machinist in 1989. A US Army Korean War Veteran, he was a member the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Wilmington.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his three children- Magdalene Lees, Wilmington, Pam (Rob) Bills, Wilmington, and Tim (Janet) Lees, Cincinnati; 8 grandchildren- Sarah (Alfredo) Pedro, of Utah, Maria (Rod) Dunlap, Timmy (Jan) Lees, Josh (Maria) Lees, Clare, Maddie, & Grace Lees, all of Cincinnati, & Capt Peter Lees, US Army; 17 great-grandchildren; sister- Mary Elizabeth Klass, Thornville, OH; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by 4 brothers- Bernard, Richard, Jim & George Lees; sister- Dorothy Lees; & great-granddaughter- Vivian Teresa Dunlap.
Prayers will be said at 10:40 AM, Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington. Followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 North Mulberry Street at West Locust St, Wilmington with Rev. Michael J. Holloran officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's the Baptist Cemetery, 5361 Dry Ridge Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. The Active Duty US Army Honor Squad will accord military rites.
Friends will be received from 5-7 PM, Thursday, April 29 with a rosary being said at 6:45 PM, on Thursday at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
