Norma Swigert

Norma J. Swigert,
age 78, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, February 11, 2013 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.

She was born September 3, 1934 in Westboro, Ohio, daughter of Charles W. & Lodemia E. (Moore) Pennington.  On August 19, 1977 in Wilmington, she married Ronald A. Swigert, who passed away January 25, 2009.

She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Wilmington and was an avid square dancer.

Surviving are her 2 sons Michael (Wanda) Frey of Hudson, FL & Jeff Frey of Clearwater, FL; 2 daughters- Pamela McConnell, & Melanie Brown, both of Wilmington;4 step-children-, Rodney (Sandy) Swigert of South Solon, OH,  Philip "Flip" (Wendi) Swigert of Washington Court House, OH, Connie (Jeff) Thompson of Washington Court House, OH, & Donna (Mark) Little of Winston-Salem, NC; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; Two godchildren; sister- Charlotte Decker, of Virginia and  brother-in-law- Gordon (Jeanette) Swigert of Blanchester, OH and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Norma was preceded in death by her infant daughter- Tammy Marie Frey.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 14 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 120 East Columbus Street, Wilmington with Rev. Dr. Tom Stephenson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.

Friends will be received from  4-8 PM Wednesday, February 13 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street, at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, Ohio.
