Nancy Burns

Nancy Kay Burns,
Age 62, of Mowrystown, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, August 21, 2015 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center, Seaman, Ohio

She was born November 9, 1952 in Hillsboro, OH, daughter of  the late Robert & Marie (Markins) Hamilton.  On October 3, 1970 in Hillsboro, Ohio, she married Richard  Burns, who survives.

Kay was a member of Presbyterian Church of Sardinia. She had many hobbies and interests including Reading; Writing- Published fiction and poetry, published magazine articles and was the editor of a local paper;  The Outdoors- had a greenhouse business, gardening, and hiking; Cooking and Baking; Spending Time with her Grandchildren; Knitting and Sewing, and Canning vegetables from her garden.

In addition to her husband, other surviving family members are her 2 sons- Joseph (Mary) Burns of Newport, KY, & Travis (Chrissy) Burns of Williamsburg, OH; grandchildren- Emma Burns,  Harper Burns,  Arianna Burns,  Kara Burns,  Cailyn Kohus, & William Kohus; brother- Robert (Carrie) Hamilton of Lebanon, TN,and a  sister- Lynn (Galen) Neal of Hillsboro, OH.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 East Main Street, Mowrystown  with Pastor Bob Obermeyer officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery, Mowrystown, Ohio.

Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the Edgington Funeral Home.
