Milton E “Dutch” Harvey 92 of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2015 at home.  He was born May 26, 1922 in Wellman in Warren County to Wilson A Harvey and Inez M Rich.
He married Florence J. Heckert, who predeceased him in 2009, on May 3, 1946 at Happy Corner Church of the Brethern, Clayton, Ohio.A birthright Quaker, Dutch spent his young life in Warren County in the Wellman/Harveysburg area. He was a member of the Flat Fork Monthly Meeting.  He was a 1940 graduate of Harveysburg High School. He was a direct decendent of the founder of Harveysburg.He grew up on the family farm and enjoyed farming all his life. Dutch was very athletic and played basketball and baseball for Harveysburg High School. He was the only  boy in Warren County to play on three county championship basketball teams, winning the title in 1938, 1939 and 1940. He also played independent baseball and softball after returning after returning from the military. Dutch was a WWII veteran. He was trained in Chemical Warfare but spent 36 months in England where he was lent to the 93rd Bomb Group fusing bombs for B17s. He was a charter member of the Waynesville American Legion Post # 615.Upon returning home after the war he went to work for NCR in Dayton where he worked for 35 years as a stockkeeper. After retiring from the NCR he hauled bottle gas for Collett Propane. When he retired from Collett’s he played golf several days a week and went back to his love of farming, working for Allen Collett Farms. Dutch coached Little League Baseball with Cliff Gasaway and was a member of the Clinton Massie Booster Club. He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church where he and Florence served the Thursday luncheons for several years. He loved golf, playing several days a week. He enjoyed fishing and watching baseball, golf, Nascar and football on TV. He loved being with his family and enjoyed the roll of Grill Master for family picnics.
Dutch is survived by three children Monica Powell of Martinsville, Beth MacAlpine of Columbus and Wayne (Debbie White) Harvey of Sunbury. Five grandchildren Tracy (Robert) Martin of Wilmington, Billie Powell of Martinsville,  Austin (Annie) Harvey of Chicago, Alison (Rob) Adams of Pickerington, and Steven MacAlpine of Columbus. Four greatgrandchildren, Sydney (Eric) Zorn of Fort Hood, Texas, Nathan Powell of Martinsville, and Everett Adams and Edison Adams of Pickerington. His brother Thomas (Joey) Harvey, a brother-in-law Harold McCoy a sister-in-law Barbara Heckert and several nieces and nephews. Close friends Cliff Gasaway and Richard Mitchner.
Beside his parents and wife he is preceded in death by his brother Wilson Harvey, Jr. and sister Lorraine McCoy.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon, March 9, 2015 at the Fisher Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry St. Wilmington.  Visitation beginning at 11:00 AM, the day of the funeral until time for services.

The family would like to thank Community Care Hospice,  Lisa Lange, Brenda Damron and Christy Palmer for the care they gave Dutch in his last months and everyone who gave food, prayer and comfort to us all.
