Michael Ray Rose, 70, of Wilmington, OH, passed October 6, 2016 at his residence.
He was born November 13, 1945 in Mason County, Kentucky, son of the late Robert Taylor and Garnet "Dee" Geraldine Rose.
He graduated from Clinton Massie High School in 1964. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marilyn (Roberts) Rose, son Kevin (Melinda) Rose, daughter Kelly (Ricky) Williams and his four grandchildren, Dylan and Brooke Rose, Cody and Shelby Williams. He is also survived by brother-in-law Denver "Denny" Williams and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mike was an Adams Township Trustee for 36 years. He ran his own Excavating Company for 19 years and never met a stranger. For many years he was also known as Santa Claus which brought joy to many children. Mike had a passion for Clinton Massie sports and thoroughly enjoyed supporting Falcon athletes. He also had a love for the fair and supporting the Clinton County Livestock Sales. He loved being outdoors and spending time working, hunting, fishing and vacationing with his family. Big Mikee was loved by all and will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia "Jinny" Rose Williams.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Monday, October 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Jack D. Creditt officiating. Interment will follow in the Springfield Friends Cemetery.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Sunday, October 9, 2016, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
