Michael Ewing

Michael Colvin Ewing, President and CEO of  D & E Equipment Company in Wilmington, OH, passed away at his residence on October 18, 2016.

Mike was born March 14, 1944 in Wilmington, OH, son of Walter Earl Ewing Jr. and June Colvin Ewing. He graduated from Wilmington High School in 1962 where he played baseball and was captain of the 1961 football team. After graduation from Miami University in 1967 he joined his father, Walter, at D & E. Together they were responsible for the design and construction of numerous grain drying, storage and conveying installations in southwestern Ohio. Mike also served on many agriculture advisory boards.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Diane Edwards Ewing and  daughters Angela (Mike) Kees of Wilmington and Victoria (Chris) Knight of Springboro. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Megan and Allie Kees of Wilmington, Peyton, Drew, and Tyler Knight of Springboro, a sister, Margaret (Sam) Myers of Wilmington, and a brother-in-law, Chester (Janice) Edwards of KY and his devoted dog, Zoie.

Graveside services on Monday will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family with Pastor Tom Stephenson officiating.  A memorial reception for friends and family will follow the graveside services.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH Sunday, October 23, 2016, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
