Michael D. Coleman, age 64, of Martinsville, OH, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 in Chillicothe, OH.
He was born July 12, 1948 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Harold Coleman and Gretchen Davenport Coleman.
He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, a former member of the American Legion, the Martinsville Lions Club and MartinsvilleVillage Council, the Marine Corps League, and the Vietnam Veterans. He was a veteran of Vietnam, having served two tours of duty, one with the U. S. Marine Corps and one with the U. S. Army.
Surviving is his wife, Patricia Coleman of Martinsville, whom he married July 17, 1967, two sons, Michael D. Coleman Jr. of Martinsville, OH, and James D. (Betsy) Coleman of Lynchburg. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Christopher Coleman, Danielle Coleman, and Dylan Coleman, his sister, Nancy Coleman of Xenia, OH, mother-in-law, Hazel Coleman of Wilmington, OH, special aunt, Drema Fowler, special friends, Carlos & Betty Rice, brother & sister- in- law, Tom & Nellie Coleman, sister & brother-in-law, Janet & Dan LeBeau, and several nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tom Chattin and Jim Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio where the Wilmington American Legion Memorial Squad will conduct full military honors.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
