Matthew Murphy

Matthew W.  Murphy, age 36, of Hillsboro , passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his home in Hillsboro, OH.

He was born March 1, 1977 in Hillsboro, OH, son of Wayne Murphy  and Mary Ann  Shoemaker Murphy.

He was associated with and coached at Seven Hills Wrestling Club; was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School class of 1996.

Surviving is his wife, Kristi Brock Murphy, whom he married February 10, 2011, six children, Skylar Murphy, Noah Hull, Matthew Murphy Jr., Bentley Murphy, Chandler Burson, and Kelton Burson. Also surviving are his parents, Wayne Mary Ann Murphy, of  Hillsboro, brother, Mark (Ellie) Murphy of San Diego, CA, three sisters, Teresa (Clem) Riggs of Glenville, WV, Joyce Anderson of Lucasville, and Regina Bennett of Hillsboro, as well as several nieces & nephews.

Services will be held at Bible Baptist Church of Hillsboro, Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Matt Burns officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery,  near Taylorsville where the Highland County Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.

Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday, from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. .
