Mary B Quigley,
age 88, of Martinsville, Ohio, passed away, Tuesday afternoon, March 12, 2013 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio.
She was born December 7, 1924 in the Leescreek community, Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas & Elsie Opal (Davis) Adams. On June 24, 1944 in Maysville, Kentucky, she married Forrest Quigley, who preceded her in death on June 5, 2011. They were married 67 years.
Mrs. Quigley spent her early years at Sabina Schools and then tranferred to Clarksville-Vernon School where she graduated. She, among others, were considered honor students, who were chosen to take different tests at Wilmington College.  She was a 4 year cheerleader and involved in many other school activities.  She then worked in a local office for close to 2 years and then married Forrest.  They spent the first several years farming in the Morrisville area and had their daughter, Tonya.  Later they moved to the Martinsville area and enjoyed tending to the house, flowers, lawn and enjoyed friends..  Mary was a member of the Morrisville and Martinsville United Methodist Churches, where she taught Sunday School and Bible School.  She was a member and past president of the Martinsville Crib and Cradle Club.  A member of the Morrisville Grange, where she enjoyed planning lectures, programs and welcoming speakers, especially for the teachers reception, which was always a pleasure.  Mary was the first counselor of the former Clark Township Council.  She was also a member of the Martinsville Order of the Eastern Star, where she was past matron and now a member of the Blanchester OES.  During the OES inspection when she was the worthy matron, she was credible in being able to precede through a verbal error free ritual.
Surviving is her daughter- Tonya Quigley, Milford, who considered her a world class one mother.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her brother-Thomas Adams and just recently her faithful companion-"Jazzy", who brought her many smiles to her face.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington.  Interment will follow in the Martinsville Cemetery, Martinsville, Ohio.
Friends will be received Friday, March 22 from 6-9 PM at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH.  The Order of the Eastern Star will have a service at 7:00 PM.
Mrs. Quigley will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends.  She was very close to her late brother's the Adams Family, who were always there for her.  To sign the online guest book, go to edgingtonfuneralhomes.com.
