Marvin Eugene Kerr,
Age 91, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday morning, December 8, 2015 at the Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio.
He was born August 11, 1924 in Martinsville, OH, son of the George Pearl & Laura Izora (Carter) Kerr. On February 21, 1946 in Wilmington, he married Virginia Mae Flint Kerr, who preceded him in death on April 9, 2013.
Marvin retired from the Sheet Metal Workers Union and was a member of First Baptist Church of Wilmington, Wilmington American Legion Post #49, Elks Lodge #797, Wilmington, and had driven for the Wilmington Transit System.
Surviving are his daughter- Peggy Bennett of Wilmington; grandson- R. Scott (Kathy) Bennett of Wilmington; granddaughter- Nicole Diane (John) Burton of Wilmington; great-granddaughters- Brianna Burton & Sydney Bennett; and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Marvin was preceded in death by 4 brothers- Edward, Earl, Kenny & Karl Kerr and sisters- Mary Brewer & Berneda Hodson.
Graveside Services were held at the convenience of the family at the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington with Rev. Dan Mayo officiating.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.
