Martha Jones

Martha Jane Jones,
Age 98, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, August 31, 2012 at the Autumn Years Nursing Home in Sabina, OH.

She was born January 6, 1914 in Clinton County, Ohio (the snow was as high as the fence) daughter of the late Lesley T. & Rosa N. (Howell) Clemmer.  On June 30, 1934, She married Ray Jones who died in August 1950.

Martha had been a self-employed Housekeeper and had worked at the Wilmington Dry Cleaners. She was a member of Wilmington F.O.E. #1224 Eagles Aux, American Legion Post #49 Aux, Wilmington, V.F.W.  Xenia Post Aux,  & the Multi Purpose Senior Citizens Center-Shady Ladies Band, Wilmington.

Surviving are a daughter- Virginia 'Ginny' (Robert) Jones Kelley of Wilmington, OH; favorite niece-loved as a daughter- Patricia (Paul) Clemmer Sturm, of Maryland; 3 Granddaughters- Marci (Chuck) Morse Atkinson, Mary Ellen (Allen) Testerman, & Jenny Hall; One great-grandson- Trevor N. Hall; Special nieces & nephews who were loved as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great-grandchildren- Tammy (Paul) Kish, Niki Wylie-Arndt, Steven Kish, Jessica Kish, Tia Wylie, Colin Arndt, & Sydney Kish-Mills; & a sister- Edith Roush.
In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by her 2 daughters- Sharon Jones & Ruth Ellen Edwards; 4 brothers- Robert Pilcher, John Clemmer, James Clemmer, & Hubert Clemmer and 2 sisters- Ruth Foster & Ethel Mangan.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington  with Allen Testerman and Rev. Dr. Tom Stephenson  officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.
