Martha Griffith

Martha R. Griffith, age 95, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, March 12, 2021 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

She was born January 21, 1926 in Highland County, OH, daughter of the late Wilbur Guy Sams and Garnet May Russell Sams.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of The Nazarene; was a longtime photographer in the Highland County area and a big supporter of 4-H and the Junior Fair.

Surviving are daughter, Jane A. (Jeff) McCoy of Hillsboro, son, Michael A. (Jeannie) Griffith of Washington Court House, seven Grandchildren, Sarah McCoy, Jacob Griffith, Rachel (Matt) Winkle, Zachary Griffith, Seth (Randi) McCoy, Clint (Tiffany) McCoy and Jessy Griffith as well as 16 Great Grandchildren and several neices & nephews.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Griffith, Jr., who died March 5, 2010, infant daughter, Janice Elaine Griffith, Great-Grandson, Lane Everett McCoy, Great-Granddaughter, Colleen Marie Winkle, two Brothers, Wilbur Guy "Pete" Sams, Jr. and Russell Sams.

Graveside Services will be held at Stringtown Cemetery, Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 11:00 am with Rev. Tom Zile officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, is serving the family.
