Mark Lucas, age 62, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 3, 2025 at his home.
He was born October 13, 1962 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, son of Larry Anthony and Joyce Josephine (Tukis) Lucas.
Mark started his life as a cowboy, big buckles and cowboy boots. He was a race car driver, Harley Davidson rider, police officer, S.W.A.T. commander, K-9 officer, pilot, and a farmer. Mark was a thrill seeker, who loved to go fast. He was a self taught man, who fought as hard as he loved. He died with his boots on, which was important to him.
Surviving are his mother, Joyce Lucas of Mesa, AZ; daughters: Sara (Nick) Seiffert of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mandy (Chris) Ricker of Senatobia, MS; son, Jacob Lucas of Dublin, OH; two grandchildren: Aria Seiffert, Emery Seiffert, Cheyenne Ricker, Weston Ricker, and Easton Ricker; sister, Marcy Lucas of Queen Creek, AZ; longtime friend, Stacey Lucas of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his two dogs: Bear and Mini Mi.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Larry Lucas.
Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
