Marius Tofan

Marius Virgil Tofan, age 71, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away, Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio.
He was born March 2, 1951 in Sibiu, Romania, son of the late Remus Traian  and Maria Stela (Arsenie) Tofan. On September 9, 1978, he married Elena (Maerean) Tofan in Sebesu de Jos and together moved to the United States in 1998 with their daughters.
Marius was retired and previously had worked for the city of Sibiu, Romania as well as in trucking, factory, retail and airline industry.
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his daughters- Andreea Tofan, of Dallas, Texas and Roxana Tofan, of San Antonio, Texas;  granddaughter-Julia Hammock; grandson- Christopher Hammock; and sister- Cornelia Radu, and cousins, Luci Mandel and Alice Tofan, of Romania.
Marius's whole world was his family of which he was really proud of and always worked very hard to fight for them, encourage them and support them in all their dreams and needs. He did not always say as much as his "fetele" (girls), but you could always count on him to lift you up and make things happen -  "Nu te pierde ca esti cu mine" (Don't worry you're with me), he would say.
Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.
