Marilyn Collingham Smith, age 87, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehab Center with family by her side.
She was born August 10, 1927 in Clinton County, OH, daughter of the late William Russell and Helen (Skeen) Collingham. On February 10, 1968 Pastor Arthur Merkle married her to Ronald E. Smith at the Wilmington Church of Christ.
Marilyn graduated from Wilmington High School in 1945. She worked at Frigidaire before moving to California, upon returning to Wilmington, she worked at Gene's Pastries for several years. Marilyn retired from Bob & Carl's Super Value in Wilmington, after many years.
In addition to her husband, other surviving family members are son, Maynard Collingham of Cincinnati, grandson, Jeremy (Tara) Collingham of Wilmington, three great-grandchildren, Kinsey Lynn Collingham, Dexter William Collingham, and Cody Adam Collingham, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by great-grandson, Liam Joseph Collingham, brother, William (Dorothy) Collingham, and sister, Donna (Carl) Sanders.
Funeral Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. Wilmington, Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Dale McCamish officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home Thursday, February 5, 2015, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
