Mary Naomi (Yochum) Dolph,
Age 92, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015.

She was born August 28, 1922 in Highland County near Buford, OH, daughter of the late Lawrence Leslie and Edna (Fender) Yochum.  The Family attended the Buford Church of Christ, where her grandfather, Peter James Yochum was an elder and had taught in the local schools.

Naomi graduated from Lynchburg High School, was baptized at the Fairview Church of Christ on September 9, 1934.  On February 22, 1941, she married Lewis M. Dolph, who passed away December 21, 1980.  They lived in Wilmington as Lew worked at the local telephone company.  A daughter, Connie Jean was born May 1, 1944.
Mrs. Dolph had been a member of the Disciples Christian Church along with her husband and daughter. She was the office secretary for several years, until there was illness in the family.  Afterwards, the family were members of the Wilmington Church of Christ, where she served in several ministries. She assisted Eleanor Baxter in the Sonshine Ladies Program for 18.5 years, sang in the choir, was a prayer chain leader, kept the glass doors in the church clean for several years, plus other duties, which she enjoyed.
Naomi retired from Dayton Power and Light after 20 years of service. She volunteered as an usher at the Murphy Theater, helped Teacher Abby Beam at Denver School for about 10 years-entertaining the class at her  home at Christmas time and at the end of the school year. (She lived across the street from the school).

Surviving is her daughter- Connie Jean Hosler of Wilmington, OH; 2 granddaughters- Jennifer Amy Hosler of Cincinnati, OH, & Betsy (Melissa) Gregory- Hosler of Silver Spring, MD; brother- Ralph (Margie) Yochum; a great granddaughter, Harper Mary Gregory-Hosler,  and several nieces & nephews.  She also leaves countless church friends, scrabble friends and school friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Naomi was preceded in death by her brother- Paul (Eloise) Yochum; sister- Betty Louise (John) Morris; infant sister- Gladys Irene Yochum, who only lived a few months; her son-in-law, John Hosler, and her very close friends, Joe & Nelle Hosler, whom she was very sad to lose when they passed away.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015 12:00 noon, at the Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 West Locust Street, Wilmington.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.

Friends will be received from 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
