Lowell Dean Dickey,
Age 75, of Hillsboro, Ohio, (Fairfax Community) died Friday Morning, July 8, 2011 at his residence.
He was born January 3, 1936 in Highland County, Ohio, son of the late John & Golda (Turner) Dickey.
Lowell had served in the US Air Force Reserves for 6 yrs., Member of the Fairfax United Methodist Church, the State And National Holstein Associations, the Highland County Dairy Service Unit, Fairfax Cemetery Trustee, Treasurer of the Fairfax United Methodist Church Building Fund and a Lifelong Dairy Farmer.
Surviving are his wife- Janet (Brown) Dickey, whom he married on February 5, 1961, 3 sons-Jeff (Karen) Dickey, Hillsboro, Kevin (Sandy) Dickey, Hillsboro, & Gary Dickey, Hillsboro; daughter- Colleen (John) Wiget, Wilmington; 3 Grandchildren- Joshua & Jessica Wiget and Ethan Dickey; brother- John "Jay" (Jane) Dickey Jr., Fairfield; sister- Joyce Morefield, Dayton; sister-in-law- Juanita Dickey, Seaman; brother-in-law & sister-in-law- Jim & Donna VanZant, Maineville.
Besides his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by 3 brothers-Mark Dickey, Maynard Dickey, & Hugh Dickey , and a sister- Mary Kathryn Cox.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Fairfax United Methoidst Church with Pastors Dan Lamb and Wayne Edingfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 East Main Street, Hillsboro, Ohio .
