Lois Anne Williams, age 93, formerly of Hillsboro, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Otterbein Senior Life Community Center in Lebanon, Ohio.

Lois was born June 7, 1931 in the Columbus area. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Wayne L. Snider and Mary E. Snider. They moved to Hillsboro in 1948. Lois was a 1949 graduate of Hillsboro High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wilmington College earning a B. A. degree majoring in literature and language. She was a very gifted prolific Christian writer whose published works number more than 2,700, including a three novel trilogy.

Lois was united in marriage to David M. Williams, May 10, 1952. They shared a 70 year incredibly wonderful union on earth until his passing. Lois was such a beautiful, precious, kind, caring, gentle, generous, deeply committed Christian her entire life. She was a very faithful longtime member of the Hillsboro Global Methodist Church and chancel choir serving the Lord and the church in numerous capacities throughout her decades.

Lois was a greatly devoted, loving, and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lois enjoyed many wonderful, fantastic travels and vacations both far and near with her husband and her family. Along with writing, she was an avid reader, enjoyed many activities in nature, teaching creative writing courses, swimming at the YMCA, singing in the choir, and countless church activities.

Lois is survived by son Wayne A. (Sue) Williams, daughter Karen E. (Tony) Haley, three grandchildren Heather (Jen) Ziebol-Williams, Holli (Marvin) Abrinica, Karianne (Chris) Percell; eight great-grandchildren, Abigail Tackett, Joshua Tackett, William Tackett, Benjamin Tackett, Gabriel Tackett, Isabel Abrinica, Alexandria Abrinica, and Jonah Percell. Also surviving is a sister Rachelle Bricker, brother-in-law Phillip Williams, sisters-in-law Beverly Williams, Eleanor Williams, Shirley Williams, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband David, Lois was preceded in death by her brother Carl Snider and sister Gladys Miller.

Private graveside services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Hillsboro Cemetery with Rev. Derek Russell officiating.

Following the burial service a public Memorial Service will be held at the Hillsboro Global Methodist Church, 133 E. Walnut St. Hillsboro, at 12:00 p.m. noon. If desired, memorial contributions in Lois’s memory may be directed to the Hillsboro Global Methodist Church Chancel Choir.
