Lillian Salamon,
Age 89, of Heath, Ohio, formerly of the Wilmington area, passed away surrounded by her family on Christmas morning, December 25, 2016 at home.
She was born July 26, 1927 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late Leo F. & Floe E. (Camp) Thompson. She was married to Robert C. Salamon, who preceded her in death.
A Wilmington High School Graduate, Lillian liked volunteering at the Melbourne, FL Homeless Shelter and spending time with her family.
Surviving are daughter- Tamara Abbott Mummey, Heath, OH; son- Timothy (Caroline) Abbott, of VA; sister- Hazel Thompson Hoffer, Wilmington; 3 grandchildren- Jeremy (Stacey) Mummey; Rachel (Casey) & Hannah Abbott; 3 great-grandchildren- Jadyn, JaLeigh, & Julian Mummey; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian was preceded in death by her brothers-Russell, Bruce, Dickie & Charles Thompson and sisters- Ruthmay Thompson Wallace, & Barbara Thompson Cooper.
Funeral Services will be held 7:00 PM, Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Raymond Cooper officiating.
Friends will be received from 5-7 PM, Friday, Dec. 30 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home
