Leota Marie Hagemeyer, age 89, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH.

She was born May 9, 1924 in Greenup, KY, daughter of the late Millard Thurman Johnson  and Ida Jeffery Harris Johnson.

She was a member of Martinsville United Methodist Church, Ohio Farm Bureau, Order of Eastern Star, Clinton County Square Dance Club, and above all, was a loving Mother. She married Wayne William Hagemayer on September 27, 1946 in Greenup, KY and celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1996.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Connie Hagemeyer of Blanchester, OH, daughter, Donna Sue Holmes of Wilmington, grandson, Lance Bartley Hagemeyer of Blanchester, grandson, Curtis Wade Hagemeyer of Blanchester, grandson, Justin Wayne (Denise) Holmes, serving in the USMC,  of Camp Lejeune, NC, grandson, Jared Raymond Holmes of Cincinnati, grandson, Joel Ashley Holmes of Erlanger, KY, step-great grandson, Devon Jacobson, great-grandson, Trenton Holmes, sister, Hazel West of Greenville, OH, sister, Evelyn Webb of Ironton, sister, Verna (Jay) Brening of Springfield, sister, Juanita (Jarvis) Wilds of Ironton, sister, Judy Higginbotham of Franklinton, NC, Brother, James Charles (Winifred) Johnson of Ironton, sister-in-law, Joyce Johnson of Ironton, brother-in-law, Burdette Quigley of Wilmington.

In addition to her parents and husband,  Leota was preceded in death by sister, Lorena Gehrling, sister, Helen Quigley, sister, Ida Thelma Johnson, brother, Curtis Thurman Johnson, brother, Bobby Harold Johnson, and brother, Jerold Dale Johnson.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor James  Weible officiating.  Interment will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home on Monday 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. .
