Leona Johnson

Leona F. Johnson,
age 78, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 10, 2021 at her daughter's home in Blanchester, Ohio.
She was born May 10, 1943 in Wilmington,  Ohio daughter of  the late Samuel & Opal Amelia (Kilgore) Davis.  On April 28, 1962 in Wilmington, she married Larry G. Johnson, who preceded her in death on February 17, 2013.
Leona had worked for Model Dry Cleaners in Wilmington and then spent the next 35 years working and retiring from the Wilmington Nursing & Rehab Center.
Surviving are her daughter- Roseanna Johnson of Blanchester; grandchildren- Kelly (Beverly) Johnson and Brandy Johnson; 13 grandchildren- Dakota, Seth, Shealynn, Alex, Kyler, Jasper, Kellie, Aubrey, Neveah, Maddox, Jace, Mae Mae, & Corbin; sister- Helen Hayslip, of Wilmington; brother- Henry (Ann) Davis, Blanchester; numerous nieces and nephews and her special dog/ friend- Petey.

In addition to her parents and husband, Leona was preceded in death by her brother Estel Davis, 3 sisters- Jean Joseph, May Claus, & Elizabeth Davis; and 2 half-brothers- Creighton Copas and James Copas.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 16 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington  with Chaplain William Sangrey officiating.  Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio.
