Larry Shepherd Sr

Larry Lee Shepherd, Sr.
Age 69, of Martinsville, Ohio, passed away Friday afternoon, May 10, 2013 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was born March 18, 1944 in Buford, Ohio, son of the late David C. & Dolly O. (Tolle) Shepherd
Larry was a logger of Shepherd's Logging his whole life and he had retired from Pyper Construction after 20 years of service.  He was the mayor of Farmer's Station.

Surviving are his 4 children- Charlotte (Mark) Abbas, Red Wing, Minnesota; Larry (Lisa) Shepherd Jr, Hillsboro-grandchildren- Cody (Ashton) Logan, Morgan, & Kylea- great-greandchildren- Kaiden & Kinley; Sugar (Ronnie) Shepherd, Wilmington- grandchildren- Brianna Reid & Zachary Scarberry- great-grandchildren- Lincoln Osborne; Shawn (Miranda) Shepherd, Hillsboro- grandchildren- Harlee, Marley, & Shawn; fiancee- Alice Huff, Martinsville; brothers- Chester Shepherd, Lynchburg, James (Betty) Shepherd, Martinsville, Josh Shepherd, of TX & Jesse Shepherd, of TX; sisters- Bonnie Swisshelm, Wilmington; Judy (Dave) Brien, Lynchburg, Jenny McKinney, Wilmington, & Michelle Pixley, of TX, many nieces & nephews and very many close friends.

In addition to his parents,  Larry was preceded in death by his brother- David Shepherd & sister- Emma Faye Shepherd.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 16 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with  Pastor Keith Asbury officiating.  Interment will follow in the Martinsville Cemetery, Martinsville, Ohio.

Friends will be received from 4-8 PM Wednesday, May 15 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH .
