Kathryn D. Heavenridge,
Age 93, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 3, 2013 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.
She was born May 1, 1919 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late George B. & Myra (Starbuck) Davis.
Mrs. Heavenridge retired as a junior high and high school teacher, who had taught in Reesville, Clarksville, Bowersville, and Jamestown for over 30 years. She had attended Wilmington College and graduated from Ohio University.
She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Wilmington, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the American Colonists, Delta Kappa Gamma, a life member of the Clinton County Retired Teachers Assn, and the Ohio Retired Teachers Assn.
Surviving are her 3 sons- Sam Dean, Jamestown, David (Julie) Dean, Kettering, & Tom (Lisa Willis) Dean, Wilmington; 9 grandchildren- Sam Dean IV, Aaron (Cindy) Dean, Bill (Teresa Kuhlman) Dean, Vincent (Sarah) Dean, Abigail (Mark) Rabe, Michael Dean, Brad Bryant, Jacob (Eileen) Dean, & Robert (Thu) Dean; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Paul Heavenridge and her brother-Donald E. Davis.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 120 East Columbus Street, Wilmington with Rev. Dr. Tom Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.
Friends will be received from 10 AM until 11 AM Thursday at the Church.
