Katherine Faye Mitchell

 Katherine Faye "Kathie" Mitchell, age 74, of the Sugartree Ridge Community, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at her home. 

 She was born November 6, 1950 in Highland County, Ohio, daughter of the late Walter Clarence and Lena Faye (Shaw) Frost. On November 27, 1970 in Wise, Virginia she was united into marriage to Ival "Mitch" Mitchell, who passed away on August 29, 2020.

 Kathie was a 1969 graduate of Whiteoak High School. She was a member and Vice President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 1161 and was a member of the Hillsboro V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #9094. She as a longtime employee of Robertshaw Controls and had retired from the Hillsboro Post Office as a rural mail carrier.

 Surviving are her 3 daughters: Mindy (Mike) Tissot, Mandy (Chris) Mitchell-Cox, and Mona (Life Partner Marcus) Mitchell; step-daughter, Michelle (Curt) Grigsby; step-son, Jimmy (Lisa) Mitchell; 9 grandchildren, Ashley (Danny Thokey) Tissot, Jared (Mekinna Little) Tissot, Sydni Daniels, Shane Mitchell-Cox, Shawn Mitchell-Cox, Samuel Mitchell-Cox, Kyle Curran, Kameron Curran, and Konner Curran; half-sister, Jana (Mark) Newton; half-brother, Gerald Frost Jr.; an aunt, Virginia R. Hunt, and her faithful K-9 companion, Maggie.

 In addition to her parents and husband, Kathie was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Clarence "Buddy" Frost; 3 half-sisters, Alice Pauline Frost, Kaye Aldridge, and Sharon Bales.

 Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main Street Hillsboro, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Burial will take place in the Dale Cemetery, Connersville, Indiana at a later date.

Contributions in Kathie's memory may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
