Karen Kay Schutte, age 56, of New Vienna, formerly of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the U.C. Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH.
She was born March 2, 1957 in West Union, OH, daughter of Robert Burton and the late Janet Reed Burton.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Lalisa (Nathan) Caplinger, Angela (Adam) DeBord, and Kelly (Donald Furguson) Schutte all of New Vienna, her father, Robert Burton of Defiance, two sisters, Connie (Randy) Sexton of Hillsboro, and Sharon (Mike) Mann of Defiance. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Michael Seitz, Caleb Caplinger, Darrel DeBord, Austin DeBord, Timothy Edwards, Dustin Edwards, Makayla Edwards, a great grandson, Drake, and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her mother, Karen was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Wayne Burton and Terry McClure.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev.Wylie B. Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. .
