Joseph W. Hadley, age 87, of Clarksville, OH, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH.
He was born September 7, 1928 in Dayton, OH, son of the late John Wilber Hadley and Velma Leah Dodd Hadley.
He was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ, the Clarksville Masonic Lodge # 323 F&AM, the Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite, and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are wife, Bertha M. Hadley of Clarksville, whom he married April 10, 1954, daughter, Virginia White of Portsmouth, OH, son-in-law, Carl (Debra) Guenther of Wilmington, four grandchildren, Joseph White of Portsmouth, Alyssa (Rob) Powell of Holly Springs, NC, Justin Guenther of Cincinnati, and Josh White of Portsmouth.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Guenther.
Services will be held at the Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 W. Locust St. Wilmington, Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 10:00 am with Pastor Dale McCamish officiating. Interment will follow in the Clarksville Cemetery, where the Wilmington American Legion Memorial Squad will conduct full military honors.
Friends will be received at the Wilmington Church of Christ Wednesday, February 3, 2016, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Thursday, February 4, 2016, 9:00 am - 10:00 am. Masonic services and the Scottish Rite Ring Service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.
